Tank Vent Odour Filter has developed by Hydrotes to keep the distribution of dangerous or toxic vapor pollutants into the uncontrolled atmosphere due to volume or temperature changes.

In most industrial plants, as a result of chemical, biological processes, intermediate products or final products require volume for storage and holding. Depending on the odour threshold of stored substance, the spread may be disturbing at points close to the facility. Odour filters are designed to prevent this situation.

Tank Vent Odour Filter works by passing the vent line air through a filter comprised of activated carbon pellets. Activated carbon is a special type of carbon that has been processed in a way that makes it extremely porous. In other words, the carbon pellets contain a vast number of tiny holes and valleys on and through them.

Casing material is made of stainless or painted steel in accordance with outdoor weather conditions. Design is made considering the required filteration surface, volume and tank properties. Accurate determination of the amount of air entering and leaving the strorage container is important for unit design. There are different tank connection options (top, ground).

Breather valve operates in parallel with system so it keeps excess and negative pressure situations under control and not to reach design values of tank. Thus there is no mechanical damage. In case of overfilling of tanks in conditions of mechanical damage or blockage by dirt in absorber unit, breather valves will ensure continued operation and tank ventilation will continue to function in accordance with the specifications for each individual application
