Tank Vent Dryer is the ideal solution to protect fluids particularly sensitive to moisture contamination. It can be simply installed with a direct connection to an existing breather or vent pipe.

Moisture, in the form of water vapour is the prime source of contamination. It will cause simple dilution of acids, an increase in the corrosivity of oils and other fluids, fungal or biological activity in materials such as glycerol, or the lowering of electrical resistance of transformer oils and similar materials.

Many fluids, semi-solids and powders are seriously affected by moisture and other contaminants. Materials which are affected are stored in tanks which are either located in the open and vented to atmosphere or are located in the process area.

Tank Vent Dryer can be filled with Silica Gel including colour indicator which is an adsorbent product. Silica gel can adsorb moisture more than 20% of its weight and the desiccant colour changes as from one specified colour to another when the desiccant is saturated and need to be replaced.

When the desiccant is saturated, it can be easily replaced by simply removing the desiccant holder. Our Tank Vent Dryers’ capacity is designed accordingly with tank’s breathing air volume. Pressure and vacuum safety valve is installed parallel to adsorber unit with settings complying to the maximum allowable pressure and vacuum level of each tank to avoid break down and mechanical damage. They can be mounted on nozzles top of the tank or on ground next to the tank by a pipeline.
